RTI Partners with Texas Instruments to Discuss Implementation of In-Vehicle Connectivity Software for Autonomous Cars

SUNNYVALE, Calif.—April 25, 2016—Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity platform company, today announced it is hosting a complimentary webinar, "Advancing Active Safety for Next-Gen Automotive," in partnership with Texas Instruments, a leading global electronics and semiconductor company.

Active safety, or ADAS, systems comprise a complex mix of interconnected sensors, actuators, compute, and image and data processing algorithms designed to save lives without distracting drivers. In this OpenSystems Media E-cast, automotive silicon and software experts, Bob Leigh and Brooke Williams, will show how technologies such as radar, lidar, sensor fusion, and in-vehicle connectivity software are evolving to make today's roads safer while paving the way for tomorrow's semi- and fully-autonomous cars.

Bob Leigh, Director of New Markets at RTI, brings more than 15 years of developing new markets and building technology companies to his role. He used his education in control and communication systems to engineer embedded solutions for a variety of industries including energy, manufacturing, and transportation.

Brooke Williams, Business Manager, Automotive ADAS Business Unit at Texas Instruments, held a variety of engineering, business development, product marketing and management roles for imaging and vision related products in the military systems and DLP business units.
